YAM AT MEA in AUGUSTA
Registration is Open for 2026!
Every fall, the Maine Education Association office in Augusta provides art teachers the opportunity to submit one piece of student art to be professionally framed and put on display at a student exhibit that hangs for several months. During Youth Art Month, they host a celebration where the students and their families are invited to the office to see the beautiful art exhibit in person. The event includes refreshments and a ceremony in which each student artist is presented with a certificate as well as note cards featuring their artwork.
2026 exhibit info:
Works will be hung (no pedestals) and is generously matted and framed in cooperation with the Maine Education Association and Horace Mann and is returned to the student after the exhibition (at no cost to you).
Teacher submitting must be a member of both the MEA and the MAEA. After confirming your dual membership, we will forward the artwork registration form (student info, title, artist statement, place to share quality image of artwork for publication).
You may deliver new work when picking up work from the 2025 show. Contact Erin Noyes in advance to ensure the artwork is ready.
